How do I remove a class from the Dashboard and Calendar?

OK, thank you. This will help me not get confused by classes she doesn't currently have. But the two classes I'm trying to remove were not her classes this year or last. She started the year in two of the wrong classes and was switched with a few days. So, she was never in these two classes and there will never be a history of her work in them. It would be great to have them removed completely, but according to the instructions I was given, I am not able to remove any classes from her Canvas history.
