Can you see these dorky images? How do I change them?

I don't know...I don't find them dorky.  But, that's just me.  Thank you for sharing your screen shot, though.  Based on the fact that I can see a "Publish" button on those course cards, I am assuming that you are an instructor.  In order to change the images on each of these course cards, you need to log into each course, and then go to your "Settings" screen.  Here is a Guide that explains everything: How do I add an image to a course card in the Dashboard?.
