I verified in the Course Notifications Settings section that I have it set as usual to receive emails indicating that my Announcement was posted, but I am not receiving email notifications this semester ? (all previous semesters I have received such notifications.)
I like seeing the email notifications to ensure that students are receiving the appropriate updates to stay on track with the materials & assignments.

Some people have reported that this comes up if you edit the announcement. For example, if you imported it and edited to change dates. I'm experimenting with recreating all of my announcements from scratch.

Thank you for this info, this is helpful. I liked both of the posts to hopefully get more attention on these issues.
I am going to see if I can edit my recent Announcements and see if they can be re-sent after editing. I might also email the students in both of my courses for now.
