Why do my icons disappear in student view? I can see them in teacher view and all of the sudden they are missing from student view.
Hi @MelindaSummers,
Without having access to your course, this is going to be a hard one to say for sure. I would guess the icons are coming from other courses which you have access to as a teacher, but your students do not. You need to ensure the icons/graphics you're using are in the files area of the current course shell. If you run the link validator, it will usually flag this issue for you.
Hope this helps a bit!

I've experienced the same thing. When I create icons in Course A, those icons are tied to Course A. When I tried to copy Course A pages into Course B, the icons aren't visible to the Course B students.
Hello @SusanNiemeyer
Thanks for sharing that information in the Canvas Community!
I know that when you copy a page from one course to another, any assets within that page (images, files, etc.) will be included in your page copy.
Occasionally I have seen instances where you sometimes need to edit the page that was copied and relink things such as images and links to the assets that were copied into your course files area. I always recommend running the link validation in the course settings page to ensure there won't be an issue with things such as this.
Using student view is also another great way to test out issues with images and icons.
