I'm setting up some writing exercises as "Discussions". The first few I made partially anonymous, but at some point copying/pasting, I forgot to check that box, and now it won't let me change from 'Off' to 'Partial'. Is this possible?

Hi @KevinNickels,
In hat case, I'd suggest reporting this to Canvas support, as it seems likely to be a bug or oversight. The discussions redesign is a feature preview, so I'm not sure how quickly things would be addressed. It would be great to alert the team that there is probably something wrong though and see if they perhaps have a workaround.

Hi @KevinNickels,
Has anyone posted to the discussions already? My guess is that there are already posts, and because of that the anonymous option doesn't really make sense anymore since at least a single name has already been revealed. It somewhat makes sense to me that the option would be grayed out at that point. If you absolutely *had* to change it, you'd probably need to delete the entire discussion and create a new one, but before doing so, you'd need to tell the students who already submitted to save their work, otherwise I could see a lot of valid complaints from those students who might have to the work over again.
Hope this helps!

Nope, these are unpublished discussions I'll be rolling out in a couple weeks.
