Copying new quiz into another course - content missing

I am copying new quizzes from a course into another course. The quiz copies over with the marks the quiz is worth but none of the questions appear. 

I have searched the question forums here and have attempted the suggested solutions here https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/New-Quizzes-Users/New-Quizzes-quiz-not-copying-via-course-import/... and also here https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Question-Forum/Copying-New-Quizzes/m-p/516272 bt none of these are working. 

Some of the quizzes are copying from one course to another but many are not. 

Does anyone have any suggestions to help?

Thank you for contacting Canvas Support. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with new quizzes not copying over correctly. I checked the guides that you mentioned and if neither of those are working, likely we'd need to look at the specifics of your questions. Are you using images or other files in the questions themselves? Are you using item banks? If so, those files and item banks would also need to be brought over with the quiz:

If neither of those resolve the issue, you should contact Canvas Support directly.

Because of the complexity of the issue, and the concerns for privacy, it would be best if you contacted Canvas Support directly to pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution:

Thanks for your reply. 

Neither of those worked as solutions. I figured out a work around though. I was trying to copy the quiz from one course to another in the same sub-account but it wouldn’t copy the content. I copied the quiz into a course in a different sub-account and it copied over correctly. I then copied the copied quiz to the course I was originally trying to copy it to and it copied perfectly. So, it was triple handling but I got there in the end.

Hi @danielle_cleary , that doesn't seem right, that the content would only copy if the course was in a different sub-account.  I hope Canvas support is still working on this issue. 

Was there anything in common with new quizzes that copied correctly and those that needed to be copied from a different sub-account?  Such as use of item banks?

Yes, it was very strange. It was only effecting 2 quizzes in the course - all other quizzes would copy correctly. There was no use of item banks. I put it down to a glitch. It hasn't happened before or since so at least I worked out a solution to get it copied there, all be it triple handling.
