How do I add Volunteer Work to my profile?
If you have been involved in community service or other volunteer efforts, you can showcase that experience on your Canvas Student ePortfolios profile.
Open Profile
To open your profile, click the Me drop-down menu[1], and then click the View Profile link [2].
Add Volunteer Work
Click the Add Volunteer Work link.
Note: If the Add Volunteer Work button does not display on your profile, scroll to the Volunteer Work section and click the Add More link to add volunteer work to your profile.
Add Volunteer Details
In the New Volunteer Work tray, enter the name of the volunteer work or organization in the Title field [1], and a description of the volunteer work in the Description field [2]. To enter the dates you volunteered, click the Start Date and End Date drop-down menus [3].
To add an image for the volunteer work, click the Add an image icon [4] and select an image from your computer or connected social media accounts.
To save your entries, click the Save Changes button [5].
Note: The display order of your entries is determined by the end date of each entry in reverse chronological order. If two entries have the same end date, those items will be arranged alphabetically.
Attach Project
If you want to attach a project to the volunteer work, select a project you have previously created [1] or click the Add new project link [2]. If you are adding multiple projects and want to customize the order in which they display, select the Arrange order toggle [3].
Save Changes
When you are ready to publish your volunteer work, click the Done button.
View Volunteer Work
View the added volunteer work.
To edit any of the volunteer work details, click the corresponding Edit icon [1]. To add more volunteer work, click the Add more link [2]. To move the Volunteer Work section up or down in your profile, click the Up or Down Arrow icon [3].
