When assignment enhancements are turned on students lose the ability to view the Turnitin similarity report on the student assignment feedback page. Adding this score would be beneficial to the students. And it is available with the enhancements turned off. With the new enhancements, they are unaware there is even a similarity score unless they click Grades which is usually after the assignment has been graded so they miss the opportunity to make improvements and resubmit.
I am not sure where it should go on the page. Looks like there isn’t a lot of real estate for smaller browsers to put it near the grade area. Maybe by the submitted attempts area (see hopefully attached image). Or maybe could go somewhere in the flyout view feedback box.
I understand that Turnitin is an add on and have contacted their customer support. They said it is a Canvas issue.

Hi, all! Just a quick update to let you know that development has completed on this and you will see it live with our 8/31 deploy.
Hi, everyone! I'm sorry to share that we've run into a bit of a snag with this release and will need to do an update before it will be made available to all users. I've updated the changelog to reflect the new deploy date of 9/14/22.
Hi, @ilovell,
We are aware of the need to add this to the assignment page and have a ticket filed with our engineers to complete this work. Please watch the change log for announcements of when this is made available.
Good to hear. We will keep an eye out.
Hi,
Has this been resolved yet? 🙂
Thanks.
This is an important feature that would be really nice to have. Getting the similarity report on the assignment page instead of going to grades is an important part of the feedback for the submission.
Any news on fixing this?
We definitely need this feature for our students, given we are in the peak assessment period. Is there any update on this at all @VH2020 thanks! 😀
I would like to ask if there is any news about this feature?

Hey @jsailor,
I'm reaching out on this recent change that enabled the Similarity Report to be seen from the Student view of Assignment page with enhancements. I found that if the assignment has Show report to students set to Never, this removes the tag for the student's view of the Grades page, but not the Assignment itself. Even with it set to not show the Similarity Report, the student is provided the tag with their score and can still click it to view their Similarity Report.
Should disabling the report remove the option from the Assignments page as well? I've attached images of the setting in question and the Similarity Report tags I'm referring to (if it were to be set to show).
We don't show the similarity score by default to students, and now they can all see their similarity scores - is there a setting to turn this off @jsailor
It has also turned all of our past assignments to show the similarity scores to students as well.
Hello, @sharon_kitching and @Michael_17, thank you for letting us know of this issue. I have an engineer looking into this now so that we can make sure the assignment view also honors the setting that is selected.
@sharon_kitching and @Michael_17, our engineering team pushed a fix for this issue to production this afternoon (9/30/22). Originality reports should now respect the settings as expected and only show when the instructor has set for them to be visible to students.
