When working in Pages, when I select the type of html editor to use (Pretty vs. Raw), my choice is remembered on any other page I work in. So, for instance, Pretty html is the Canvas "default" but when I switch to Raw html in Pages, the html editor will automatically open in Raw from then on.
I would like this to be true in other areas of Canvas, such as New Quizzes and Discussions.
Either that, or provide a toggle for preferred default html editor format. I may be in the minority, but I strongly dislike "pretty html" especially when working in Asian languages (for instance, ruby text will be altered with extra spaces when working in Pretty html). I would like to be able to set my html editor to always open as "raw" but haven't found a setting for this.
So, two questions:
Thanks for any help/attention to this matter!
I included a screenshot which can be used as a reference for the problem with ruby text coding in Pretty html.

Hi @michael_farmer,
What you are asking for/about is not currently available and would need to be submitted as an idea.
Before doing that, I would recommend that you read Turning Your Feedback into Better Prioritization and Release Processes: Our Path Forward and then go to Canvas Ideas - Instructure Community and click on the "Submit an Idea" button.

I agree. Having to select "repeating" choices reduces efficiency, particularly in tasks that are already tedious. This would be great if Canvas could work on this for the users!

Thank you, Doug! That was exactly what I was looking for, but then I put it here, because I was stumbling around too much 😁
Added my request as an "Idea" here:
Thanks again, Doug!
