Missing participation data in course analytics/page views

This case cannot be reproduced.

Description

Some course submissions are not being recorded in course analytics/participation, page views, and the POST is missing from the Kibana logs. A live course example reported had 8 submissions on Feb 10th, however, the number of participations for the day is only listed at 6.

Expected Behavior

Instead it should show all the student's submissions.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a few assignments in a course
2. As a student submit to them
3. As the teacher view the course analytics for that user
4. If you're lucky there will be some participation missing
