How do I give feedback to Panda Bot (beta)?

You can give feedback to Panda Bot (beta) as you're using it in the Instructure Community. Feedback is reviewed by the Community team and helps us improve the output of Panda Bot. Feedback is available in the following cases when using Panda Bot:

  • At the end of each chat (when you acknowledge an answer has been given)
  • After you send four messages to the bot
  • At certain times when a pre-defined answer is given that includes a survey component

Chat with Panda Bot

You can give feedback to Panda Bot (beta) while you're chatting. The option to give feedback will only display after you meet one or more of the following criteria during your chat:

  • You have acknowledged that Panda Bot answered your question (e.g., sending a "thank you" chat to Panda Bot)
  • You send at least four messages to Panda Bot
  • You utilize a pre-defined answer during your chat that asks for feedback

Give Feedback While Chatting

If you send at least four messages to Panda Bot, the Feedback icon displays next to the message field. To rate your experience during the chat, click the Feedback icon [1].

To rate your experience on a scale from 1-5, where 1 is terrible and 5 is excellent, click the rating that corresponds to your experience with this particular chat.

Give Feedback at the End of Chat

If you indicate that Panda Bot has answered your question (for example, sending a "thank you" message in the chat window), you will be prompted to rate your experience.

To rate your experience on a scale from 1-5, where 1 is terrible and 5 is excellent, click the rating that corresponds to your experience with this particular chat.

Give Feedback for Pre-Defined Answers

To give feedback after a pre-defined answer, click the thumbs up or thumbs down icon. You can then give additional feedback using the additional feedback survey.

Give Additional Feedback

Desktop

After you have given your rating, you'll be asked to complete a short survey to give additional feedback. This additional feedback is optional.

To give feedback about what went well, select one or more options in the Great! What went well? section [1].

To indicate if Panda Bot resolved your issue, click the Yes or No option [2].

To leave additional feedback comment, click the Add additional feedback link [3].

To submit your feedback, click the Submit button [4].
