How do I enable recommendations in Canvas Catalog?
As a Canvas Catalog admin, you can enable the recommendations feature that displays popular and trending course listings in the homepage. When you enable the recommendations feature, you can provide relevant courses and program offerings to learners.
Open Admin

Click the User Name drop-down menu [1]. Then, click the Admin link [2].
View Recommendations Tab
In the Account Navigation Menu, the Catalog Info tab displays by default. Click the Recommendations tab.
Enable Recommendations
By default, the Enable Recommendation setting is enabled by default across all Subcatalogs that are currently inheriting settings from the Root Catalog.
In the Recommendations page, click the Enable Recommendations toggle on [1].
When a confirmation window appears, click the Confirm button [2].
Once confirmed, an alert box with the message Listing recommendations enabled will appear [3].
Manage Homepage Preferences
To select your preferred recommendation type, click the Recommendation Option Type drop-down menu [1].
If you select the Most popular option, the homepage displays popular recommendations from the entire history of the Catalog.
If you select the Trending option, the homepage displays the most sold listings from the past 30 days.
To select how many recommendations to display on the homepage, enter the number of listings in the Number of Recommendations section [2]. You can increase or decrease the number of listings using the arrow buttons [3].
Save Changes

To apply the changes, click the Save button.
