As a LearnPlatform administrator, you can review educator product grades and feedback through Analysis reports. Feedback reports include data from all product reviewers and are filterable by product, time, or by reviewer. You can view overall data results as well as sections of charts and other targeted data. You can export all the data or individual chart data.
The feedback analysis reports, coupled with usage data and Rapid Cycle Evaluation (RCE) reports, provide a detailed analysis of your edtech tools in both breadth and depth, providing you with a better understanding of their impact on student learning.
Note: Educators provide feedback when they grade a product or respond to a feedback request.
Before gathering teacher feedback, complete your account setup and get started with LearnPlatform.
Best practice is to take a close look at the top products used in your organization according to the Inventory Dashboard and create a feedback request for them. If you need additional support to run a feedback report, consult with your dedicated Customer Success Manager or via support-lp@instructure.com.
Open Feedback
To create a teacher feedback request, click the Analysis drop-down menu [1] and then click the Feedback link [2].
View Feedback
On the Feedback tab [1], locate a completed feedback request. Click the Options icon [2]. Then, click the View link [3].
Note: There must be at least three grades from the LearnCommunity to display any grade data in the LearnCommunity Library or in the Feedback tab.
View All Feedback
The Feedback Report includes all products requested on the request feedback form and their overall data [1].
Sections of charts and other data throughout the feedback report indicate results for each product [2].
You can filter the feedback by product, cohort, or time.
View Overall Data
Each product tile displays an overall grade based on the grades gathered from the feedback form [1].
The product tile also displays the number of educators who provided feedback [2].
View Chart Options
To enlarge a chart, click the Zoom icon [1].
To view other chart options, click the Options icon [2]. The following links are available:
- View in full screen [3]
- Print Chart [4]
- Download PNG Image [5]
- Download JPEG Image [6]
- Download PDF Document [7]
- Download SVG Vector Image [8]
Note: All file downloads have a name in the form of[title of chart].[file type].
Filter by Product
To remove data for one or more products, click a product Remove icon.
Then, view remaining product data [1].
Note: To add products back, click the Add Product to Compare button [2].
Filter Feedback by Cohort
You can narrow down your report results by filtering by Educators [2], Tags [3], or Organizations [4]. If you invite Groups of educators to review a product, you can also select groups.
To clear a filtered cohort, click the Remove icon for a selection [1], or click the Clear All link [2].
Filter Feedback by Time
To filter feedback based on time, click the Time Length drop-down menu.
Then, select a time length option.
Export Feedback Report
To perform your own data analysis with the results or for sharing purposes, export your report.
Click the Export Report link.
View Data Sections
Results include sections such as:
- Contextual Questions
- Overall Grade Distribution
- Standard Category
- Participants
- Comments
To collapse or open a section, click the Expand/Collapse icon.
View Contextual Questions
The Contextual Questions charts provide context for data such as longevity of use, frequency of use, types of students, and purpose of use.
View Overall Grade Distribution
Overall Grade Distribution allows you to detect patterns in the overall distribution of a product. Every color represents a different product.
View Standard Category
Standard Category displays the average grades segmented by category. These are aligned with LearnPlatform’s research-backed grading rubric.
View Participants
In the Participants section, view overall grades by individual users. This section gives you sense of the sample size and response rates.
View Comments
You can also view comments in various areas of concern. Comments allow for reviewers to include thoughts, questions, and comments about the product that can complement the existing data.
