How do I add notes to a student report as a teacher?

While viewing an individual student report as a teacher, you can add student notes to the report about student performance. You can also add notes specifically for parents to view when they log in and view the report from the parent portal.

Note: By default, student notes are visible only to teachers. You can adjust student note settings to make them visible to parents.

Open Report Details

Open a student report. From the Mastery Summary section of the individual student report, click the Teacher Notes button.

To view notes to parents, click the Notes to Parents tab [1].

To add or edit notes, click the Edit button [2].

Enter a message to parents in the Notes To Parents field [1].

To save the notes, click the Save button [2].

To view notes about the student, click the Student Notes tab [1].

To add or edit student notes, click the Edit button [2].

Enter notes about the student in the Student Notes field [1].

By default, student notes are visible only to teachers. To allow parents to see student notes, click the Hide from parents checkbox to deselect it [2].

To save the notes, click the Save button [3].
