How do I add items to the district teacher item bank as a teacher?

As a teacher or other non-administrator user, you can allow other users to access your items when you publish them. Items you create are in draft mode in your personal item bank until you publish them. After you publish them, they become available in the district teacher item bank and are visible to everyone in the district.

Notes:

Open Items

In the Global Navigation menu, click the Items link.

Add Item

By default, your personal item bank is selected [1]. You can also select the district teacher item bank. However, drafted items are always added to your personal item bank; published items are available in both your personal item bank, as well as the district teacher item bank.

To add an item, click the Add Item button [2].

Enter Item Information

Enter Details and Continue

In the New Item page, add a title [1], select the item type [2], a subject [3], a standards core [4], class or grade [5], and a standard [6].

To align the item to more than one standard, click the Add another standard link [7].

You can also optionally add a Bloom's Taxonomy, difficulty level, and Depth of Knowledge (DOK) [8].

To continue creating the item, click the Continue button [9].

Save or Publish Item

To disable editing and add the item to the district teacher bank, click the Publish button [1]. When you publish the item, it becomes available in the district teacher item bank and is available to all users in your district. You can delete the item from your personal item bank, and admins can delete the item from the district teacher item bank.

To disable editing and share the item with admins only, click the Publish & Reserve button [2]. When you publish and reserve an item, you can delete it in your personal item bank, and admins can view and delete the item in the district teacher item bank.

Note: If you do not want to publish the item yet, you can save the item as a draft in your personal item bank. To save the drafted item in your personal item bank, click the Save As Draft button [1]. When you save an item as a draft, it can be edited and deleted in your personal item bank and by admins in the district teacher item bank.
