How do I create a Spanish language Mastery Connect item or passage?
In Mastery Connect, as a teacher or other user without administrative permissions, you can create a Spanish language item or passage. When Spanish is selected as the language for an item or passage, the text-to-speech tool reads text with Spanish pronunciation.
Note: You can also create an English language and tag partial sections of the item or passage text as Spanish.
Enter Item Details

Enter a name for the item in the Name text field [1].
To select an item type, click the Question Type drop-down menu [2] and select an item type from the list.
The District Item Bank is defaulted for the District Item Bank previously selected [3].
Select a Subject, Core, Class, and Standard for the item from the drop-down menus [4].
To create an item that aligns with multiple standards, click the Add Another Alignment icon [5] and add the additional information.
Click the Additional Settings menu [6] to access optional fields.
In the Additional Settings menu, select values for Difficulty, Depth of Knowledge (DOK), and Blooms [7].
By default, English is selected as the language for the item. If you are creating an item in Spanish, click the Language option and select the Spanish option [8].
To compose the item, click the Author button [9].
Note: Learn more about composing a specific item type.
