How do I edit student answers in an assessment?

As a teacher, you can edit student item responses in a Mastery Connect assessment using the Mastery Connect Performance Grader. You can change student answers for document-based or item-based formative assessments.

Notes:

  • As a teacher, you can edit student answers in benchmark assessments if an admin has enabled editing for teachers in the benchmark settings.
  • If you edit student answers before the student has completed the assessment, the student will not be able to take the assessment later.

Open Tracker

In the Global Navigation menu, click the Trackers link [1] and then click the tracker name link [2].

Open Standard Details

Open Standard Details

To view assessments, click the standard name [1].

If the assessment is multi-standard, view the standards by clicking the title of the multi-standard assessment [2].

Launch Performance Grader

Click Edit Icon

Locate the student whose responses you want to change. Then click the Launch Performance Grader icon.

Edit Answers

The selected student's name displays [1]. To edit the selected student's answers, click the Edit Answers button [2].

Note: You can navigate to other students answers by using the navigation arrows [3].

Select Answer for Document-Based Assessment

For a document-based assessment, click an answer for one or more questions [1].

To save the changes for this student, click the Save Changes button [2].

Select Answer for Item-Based Assessment

For an item-based assessment, click the question link [1]. When the question content displays, select an answer [2].

To save the changes for this student, click the Save Changes button [3].
