How do I filter items from an item bank within an assessment?

When you create an item-based assessment, you can add items from item banks. The item filters allow you to filter by standard, item bank, item type, passages, difficulty level, Depth of Knowledge value, Bloom's Taxonomy, and language.

You can also filter items based on whether they are compatible with Gradecam, printable, or multipart.

1. View Assessment Editor

When you enter and save assessment details for an item-based assessment, the Assessment Editor displays.

2. Click "Add Item"

To add items to the assessment click the Add Item button.

3. Click "Add from Item Bank"

To open an item bank, click the Add from Item bank link.

4. Click "Filter Items"

To filter the items in the item bank, click the Filter Items button.

5. Filter by Item Bank(s)

To filter the item list by item bank, click the Item Bank drop-down menu and select an available item bank. Repeat to add additional item banks.

To filter the item list by standard, click the Standard drop-down menu, and select a standard. Repeat with additional standards.

In the Passages section, to view all items with passages, click the All radio button. To include only items without passages, click the Items without passages radio button. To select from all items with passages, click the Items with passages radio button. Then, select a passage title from the drop-down menu.

Once selected, filters are saved even if you exit the Filter window, close the assessment or end your user session. To clear the filters, click the Reset button.
