How do I add an image to a subject card or banner?

Find your school's Canvas URL

To find your school or institution's Canvas URL, begin typing the name of your school/institution. Results will appear after you type at least 3 characters. For best results be as specific as possible. If you can't find your school, try using any part of your school's name or searching for your school district or state. You may also need to search for the school using the acronym or full name, for example "USU" and "Utah State University".

How do I add an image to a subject card or banner?

This lesson applies to users at institutions that have enabled the Canvas for Elementary user interface.

If your institution allows, you can upload an image to display within the course card in the Homeroom and a subject banner image on the subject's home page.

Accepted image types include JPG, JPEG, GIF, and PNG files. Subject card and banner images can also be added from Unsplash. All images from Unsplash are licensed under the Unsplash License.

Banner images are cropped to a 5:1 aspect ratio.
